How much is an eyetest?
The cost of an eye test depends on your eligibility and where you choose to have it. A private eye test costs £45, whereas an NHS eye test is free for qualifying individuals. You may qualify for an NHS-funded eye test if you meet certain criteria, such as being over 60, being diabetic, or receiving specific benefits. Always check with your optician to confirm eligibility or for further details contact us on twinseyecare@gmail.com. We do not charge for the initial call-out fee. There are no hidden fees and eveything will be explained before the booking is confirmed.
What should I do before the eye test?
You should aim to have completed the pre-visit questionaire for the optician who does your eyetest. This will simply allow the optometrist to understand your medical history, any symptoms you're experiencing and find solutions for you. We will send this to your email when you confirm your booking with us or you can visit out "The Legal Stuff" page and it will be under "Pre-Visit Questionnaire"

It may be useful to bring your spectacles or/and spectacle prescription with you to the eye test.

Otherwise, sit back and relax and we'll handle the rest!
What services do you offer?

2. Prescription Glasses - Providing prescriptions based on the eye test. Assisting with frame selection from a mobile range of glasses. Delivering and fitting the glasses once they are ready.

3. Specialized Low Vision Services - Advising on and providing solutions for individuals with visual impairments, such as magnifiers or other low-vision aids.

4. Referrals and Advice - Referring patients to specialists or hospitals if serious eye conditions are detected.Providing advice on maintaining eye health and managing specific conditions. This service aims to ensure that individuals who may otherwise struggle to access eye care receive the same high standard of attention and treatment in the comfort of their home or care environment.

What happens in an eye test
We will first ask you some relevent questions regarding your health, vision and the history of your health. We will discuss the Pre-Visit Questionnaire form you may have filled out before the eye test.

We will then run a few preliminary tests that we will explain to you on the day.

We will then assess the vision. We will use a series of lenses and a light to examine and assess your vision to get it as clear as possible. We will assess both your distance and near vision.

We will then look at the health of your eye using portable and specialised equipment to ensure that your eyes are in tip-top shape and if there are any issues, we will discuss them with you at the end of your appointment.

If you have any questions about this then do not hesitate and contact us on Twinseyecare@gmail.com or call us on 07428065445 and ask for Hamzah
